Josh Smith
I have been making films with my brothers since I was 15. My first major film, Courage's Adventure, I wrote and directed a crew of over twenty actors, in five major locations throughout Southern California, at the age of 18. My first production job was as a production assistant for NBC's hit show, THE BIGGEST LOSER. I then went away and served a two-year mission for my church in Buenos Aires, Argentina and I'm now fluent in Spanish. After my mission, I returned to my love of filmmaking and got started making the short film, I Get By. I directed and produced the small project, to get back into the swing of things, directing a crew of twenty. I then put my talents to work at a local ad agency, Soapbox Agency. There I worked my way up from being an assistant director, to becoming their top director; directing three TV spots, a national Kickstarter campaign, and an award winning animation promo, and much more. I also put my spare time to use and worked with Nexsan by Imation, to create four promo videos to boost Nexsan's web presence. I then left Soapbox Agency to form Smith Brothers Films, with my brother Tate, and I'm now a decorated director, praised by employers and co-workers alike. I will work diligently to produce the highest quality content for you and your company.
