Scott Beach was born on January 13, 1931 in Portland, Oregon, USA. He was an actor and writer, known for Stand by Me (1986), American Graffiti (1973) and Mrs. Doubtfire (1993). He was married to Neva Beach. He died on February 13, 1996 in San Francisco, California, USA.Spouse Neva Beach (22 December 1961 - 13 February 1996) (his death) (2 children) Original member of Improv Comedy Troup "The Committee" in San Francisco, CA in mid '60s. He had a sideline of building, by hand, exquisite wooden instruments of the Renaissaince such as a Dulcimer, Hurdy-Gurdy, etc. He was the original voice of "Garfield" in some animated inserts in The Fantastic Funnies (1980) before Lorenzo Music took the role in 1982. Father of Dylan Beach and Sara Beach. Appeared in three films that were nominated for the Best Picture Oscar: American Graffiti (1973), Star Wars (1977) and The Right Stuff (1983). Died exactly 2 years to the day before Timothy ("Tim") David Rush, a good friend of Mike Johansen who wanted to be a filmmaker.
