Lev Anderson is a filmmaker and photographer based in Portland, OR. His projects explore place, social ecologies, and the decay of the status quo with a deep interest in local communities, urban infrastructures, climate and wilderness. His documentary film Irvana, currently in production, traces the physical and social contours of Irvine, CA. Anderson also co-directs the parallel public engagement project, How to Live in Irvine, funded by the University of California Humanities Research Institute. His previous film, Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone, screened at nearly 200 film festivals around the world and was broadcast on PBS and Starz. His photgraphs have been exhibited in Irvine, Marfa, Mexico City, Portland, San Francisco, and Ino, Kyoto prefecture, Japan (levanderson@gmail.com)
