Jose also performed as a professional drummer for the band "Hollow Point" 1983 - 1995 which was formed in Kennewick, a city in Benton County, Washington in the U.S. He was very successful both in US and in Canada.
Jose R Carrera Gonzalez became interested in martial arts at a young age of 5. This would lead him to hold the rank of 9th Dan black belt in Taekwondo, and black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu he became a Mexican champion in 1980 and 1981of Taekwondo and in NewYork, NY he was a State Champion of Jiu Jitsu.
Early in life, Jose R Carrera Gonzalez had an interest painting in oil and acrylic and drawing. Throughout his teen aged years, he won various art competitions in California and focused his studies in Los Angeles. He exposition his art in NAMI both in Los Angeles and Fresno, CA.
