Aunt of actress Perla Encinas.rma Alicia Encinas Cano was born in Tónichi, 1 police station in the municipality of Soyopa,2 in the state of Sonora on April 24, 1954. She became known in 1972 for being one of the firm candidates to win the Face of the Herald of Mexico, an award that Lucía Méndez finally won. However, Alicia did manage to be crowned as the Face of the Herald the following year, in 1973. From there she began an ascending career as an actress, which included various films such as Spilled Blood, Tempest, Divine Words, The Sex of the Rich, Carlos the Terrorist, Seed of Hate and Sin ton or Sonia, among many others.
In the late 70s, she made her television debut in the soap opera Rina, from here she continued to collaborate with producer Valentín Pimstein participating in many of her soap operas, Viviana, Soledad, Amalia Batista, Los años felices and Rosa salvaje. She also participated in Lucy Orozco's first soap opera, Oyuki's Sin. During the 1980s she was the English teacher Miss Evergreen in the series Cachoun Cachún ra ra!, which was one of the few that remained throughout the series, from its inception in 1981 to its end in 1987.
At the end of the 80s Alicia left television and dedicates herself to cinema, to which she turned exclusively throughout the 90s and part of 2000s until, invited by producer Nicandro Díaz, she returns to television playing Bárbara in the soap opera Destilando amor in 2007.
