Benito Alazraki

Benito Alazraki was born on October 27, 1921 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. He was a director and writer, known for Roots (1954), Santo vs. the Zombies (1962) and Ladrones de niños (1958). He died on June 6, 2007 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico.Mexican writer-director, best known internationally for his first film Roots (1954), depicting indigenous Indian life. Initially studied law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Grandfather of director Gary Alazraki. Father of Carlos Alazraki Grossman.
