Evgeniya Kryukova

Evgeniya Kryukova was born in 1971 to a family of engineers, she grew up in Moscow in the Yasenevo district. After finishing school, she entered the Moscow Architectural Institute but dropped out after the first year. In 1988, she got a job as an artist at the Spesivtsev's Moscow Youth Theatre. At this theatre, she first started to appear on stage as an actress. Already then, the audience loved her striking looks and expressive eyes. In 1990, she entered the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts. In 1989, Evgeniya was offered to star in a film at Belarusfilm Studio. Evgeniya Kryukova's first role on screen was the role of Raisa in Anatoly Kokorin's romantic war drama ''Vanyaka Vstaynka'' (1989). In 1990, while in her first year at the Institute of Theatre Arts, she was offered a role in Sex v Perestroiku by the French director Francis Leroi who came to Moscow. In 1991, Kryukova played Duchess Tatiana in Karen Shakhnazarov's historical and psychological drama ''Tsareubiytsa'' and had a role in Valentin Mishatkin's comedy '' Vstretimsya na Taiti". In her third year at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (1993). There she continued her work after graduation in 1994 (course director Pavel Khomsky). Evgeniya Kryukova started performing at the Goverment Theatre of Mossovet. Evgeniya Kryukova is widely known for her role of Yulia Beroeva in the TV series "Petersburgskie Taini" and Razvyazka Petersburgskich tain" Then Evgeniya starred in the series "Dosje Detectiva Dubrovskogo'' and Banditskiy Petersburg (as investigator Pospelova). In 2003, the film director Eldar Ryazanov cast Evgeniya Kryukova as one of the leading roles in the comedy "Kluch ot spalni". Another significant role of hers was in Sergei Solovyov's film "O lyoubvi", based on short stories by Anton Chekhov.In total, Evgeniya Kryukova has over forty film credits. Evgeniya is a Merited Artist of the Russian Federation.
