Idelma Carlo

At the age of 14, already living in Buenos Aires, he began studying at the National Conservatory of Music and Scenic Art. In the following years he worked in radio theaters written by Nené Cascallar and Alberto Migré among other authors, and was part of the cast of The Two Covers. He also did it in the theater in The Witches of Salem, by Arthur Miller, What Was Not, by Noël Coward and Process of Jesus by Diego Fabbri, among other pieces. Hired by the National Comedy, she acted in four seasons at the Cervantes National Theater in classics such as La casa de Bernarda Alba starring Margarita Xirgu. On television he worked on Channel 7 in the cycles Cuentos de Fray Mocho, Así se llega a los astros and La comedia de los sábados. His film debut was in Fin de fiesta (1959) directed by Leopoldo Torre Nilsson. She was in Spain for two years continuing her work as an actress and there she appeared in the film El Señor de La Salle (1964) directed by Luis César Amadori. Upon his return to Argentina he presented in one-person theater with texts by Chek, Figueiredo and Ibsen, and worked under the direction of Rodolfo Graziano, Marcelo Lavalle, Andrés Mejuto, Luis Mottura and Pastor Serrador. In film he worked in Salvar la cara (1969) directed by Rossano Brazzi, La malavida (1973), directed by Hugo Fregonese and Proceso a la infamia (1974), by Alejandro Doria. From his work on television, his participation in the soap opera Un día 32 in San Telmo broadcast in 1980 on Channel 9 and starring Gabriela Gili and Miguel Ángel Solá is remembered. Idelma Carlo has published several books of poetry, including Spikes in his arms, 3 Monologues and 30 poems, Opus: I (poems) and Poems and Theater.
