Juan Ramón Obón

He was born in San José, Costa Rica in 1943, but he is a pure-blooded Mexican. He studied at the Faculty of Law of the unam. He was the legal and international affairs director of the General Society of Writers of Mexico (Sogem) between 1966 and 1997. He is a life member of the Authors Section of the Film Production Workers Union (stpc), as well as a member and lawyer of the Mexican Society of Directors, Filmmakers and Audiovisual Works. His bibliography is made up of both law books and essays (Copyrights in Mexico, The Rights of Performing Artists, Music from Independence to Revolution) and novels (The Cursed Prince, Blood Lovers, The Secret Brotherhood ). Thanks to his father, the writer and screenwriter Ramón Obón Arellano, he was linked to the film industry from a very young age. He has written and directed numerous films, including Till Death Do Us Part, Mansion of Terror, and Morgana.
