Kathleen Maguire

Actress Kathleen Maguire was born in Manhattan in the year 1925. She studied under Lee Strasberg and emerged in several noted performances during the 1950s. She won an Obie Award in 1958 for the role she played in "Time of the Cuckoo", which was an off-Broadway play. She made her film debut in 'Edge of the city", did soap operas over the years, and appeared in several episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents. A favorite performance for that series is called "Guilty Witness". Miss Maguire died from cancer of the esophagus on August 9, 1989. She passed away at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, New York, and had no survivors. She had been retired from acting since 1984.
