Laurie Main

Laurie Main was born on November 29, 1922 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He was an actor, known for The Great Mouse Detective (1986), Time After Time (1979) and Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993). He died on February 8, 2012 in Los Angeles, California, USA.Towering height and broad frame Provided the voice of the "story reader" on many Disney Read-Along records and cassettes from the late 1970's to the early 1980's. Left Australia, aged 16, and acted in repertory theatre in England. On Broadway from 1959. The following year studied acting with Agnes Moorehead. Guest-starred on numerous TV shows of the 60's and 70's. Best known as host/narrator of Disney's "Welcome to Pooh Corner".
