Mario Mattoli

Mario Mattoli was born on November 30, 1898 in Tolentino, Marche, Italy. He was a director and writer, known for La damigella di Bard (1936), Abbandono (1940) and Schoolgirl Diary (1941). He was married to Mity Mignone. He died on February 26, 1980 in Rome, Lazio, Italy.Italian writer-director. A graduate in law, he started out as a legal administrator for the Suvini-Zerboni stage company. He then became a manager of other experimental theatrical organisations. Between 1934 and 1966, he directed numerous commercially successful comedies (often featuring Toto) as well as melodramas.
