Peter Buchman (I)

A screenwriter with over 17 years of experience in the L.A. film industry, Peter Buchman has written several well-known movies, including Jurassic Park III, Eragon, and Che: Parts One and Two. In preparation for his career, Buchman studied English literature and creative writing at Oberlin College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1989. Afterward, he moved to Seattle, where he worked as a playwright for nine years. During this time as a playwright, Buchman took a trip to Turkey, where he became fascinated with the history of Alexander the Great. He researched the subject extensively, and as a result, he wrote his first screenplay. The screenplay was eventually purchased for Martin Scorsese to direct. Although the movie was never made, the screenplay launched Peter Buchman’s career, and he moved to L.A. to work as a full-time screenwriter.
