Steve Shagan 

Steve Shagan was born on October 25, 1927 in New York City, New York, USA. He was a producer and writer, known for Save the Tiger (1973), La raiz del miedo (1996) and The Formula (1980). He died on November 30, 2015 in Los Angeles, California, USA.One of Steve Shagan's eight novels, "The Formula", has been translated into French, Italian, Portugese, Chinese, German, Japanese, and Serbo-Croatian. Dropped out of high school to serve with the United States Coast Guard during World War II. Best-selling author, film and television writer and producer, winner of the 1974 Writers Guild of America Award for "Save the Tiger" (Best Screenplay, Drama). During the 1950s, he relocated to Hollywood and landed a job as a stagehand for a theater and later worked on sets at MGM Studios.
