Tomisaburô Wakayama was born on September 1, 1929 in Tokyo, Japan. He was an actor and producer, known for Lone Wolf and Cub: Sword of Vengeance (1972), Shogun Assassin (1980) and Black Rain (1989). He died on April 2, 1992 in Kyoto, Japan.Best known in Japan in playing Ogami Itto, the disgraced, scowling, 17th century ronin in six Kozure Ogami (Lone Wolf and Cub) samurai feature movies. Brother of Shintaro Katsu Was trained in various other martial art disciplines as Kenpo, Iaido, Kendo and Bojutsu, usually when he prepared for the filming. Was 4th degree (4th Dan) in Judo. Accomplished martial artist.
