Tony Imi

Tony Imi was born on March 27, 1937 in London, England. He is known for Enemy Mine (1985), Taliesin Jones (2000) and The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby (1982). He was married to Marilyn. He died on March 8, 2010 in the UK.Spouse Marilyn (1961 - 8 March 2010) (his death) (2 children) Was a member of the British Society of Cinematographers (BSC). Served as President from 1982 to 1984. Held a clerical job with Mobil Oil before becoming an assistant trainee projectionist with the BBC. Worked his way up to cameraman, then left the BBC in 1968 to freelance. Did two years of National Service with the RAF. Best known for his work on films by the directors Ken Loach and Tony Garnett.
