Klipnow is a streaming platform dedicated to preserving and celebrating the art and history of cinema. Unlike traditional streaming services, Klipnow focuses on classic films, rare titles, global cinema, underground works, and culturally significant movies from around the world.

HOW TO TEST KEY FEATURES:

1. SIGN IN
- Use the demo account above to sign in on the login screen.
- You'll be taken to the Home page with the hero slider and movie rows.

2. BROWSE MOVIES
- Tap "Movies" in the bottom navigation to browse all films.
- Use the genre filter and search bar to find specific titles.
- Tap any movie poster to view its details page (trailer, cast, synopsis, cinema insights).

3. WATCH A FILM
- On any movie detail page, tap "Watch Now" to start streaming.
- The video player supports play/pause, seek, and full-screen mode.
- Watch history is saved automatically.

4. FRIDAY LIVE EVENTS
- Tap "Live Events" in the bottom navigation.
- View upcoming, live, and past events with countdown timers.
- Tap "Notify Me" on an upcoming event to register interest.
- VIP subscribers can join live theater sessions; Standard/Premium can unlock via PVOD purchase.

5. SUBSCRIPTIONS & IN-APP PURCHASES
- Tap "Pricing" in the navigation to view subscription tiers.
- Available tiers: Free, Standard ($X/mo), Premium ($X/mo), VIP ($X/mo).
- VOD purchases: Individual film rentals at $2.99–$5.99.
- PVOD purchases: New release access at $15.99.
- All payments are processed via Apple/Google in-app purchase or Stripe.
- Use a sandbox/test account to test purchase flows.

6. WATCH PARTIES
- While watching a film, open the Echo panel (chat icon).
- Tap "Start Watch Party" to create a session and get a share code.
- Share the code with others to invite them.
- Participants can chat in real time while watching together.

7. SOCIAL FEATURES
- Tap "Social" in the navigation to view the community feed.
- Create posts, like/comment on content, follow other users.
- Create and share movie playlists.
- Send movie recommendations to friends.

8. REWARDS
- Tap the profile menu → "My Rewards" to view points balance.
- Points are earned by watching films and referrals.
- Redeem points for subscription discounts or VOD credits.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Some films require a paid subscription or VOD purchase to watch.
- The demo account has a VIP subscription for full access during review.
- Friday Live Events are time-based; check the Live Events page for current status.

DATA NOT COLLECTED:

- Financial info (payment card numbers — processed by Stripe/Apple/Google, not stored by Klipnow)

DATA SHARING:
- Stripe (payment processing) — receives transaction data, no card numbers stored
- Cloud hosting provider — stores app data and user content
- Analytics provider — aggregated usage data

DATA RETENTION:
- Account data retained while account is active
- Users can request account deletion via app settings or support contact

Klipnow uses the camera so you can take a new photo or video to use as your profile picture or attach to a social post. For example, tapping the camera icon on your profile lets you snap a new profile photo, and the image icon in a post composer lets you capture a photo to share with your followers. Photos and videos are uploaded only when you choose to add them to your post or profile — they are never captured automatically.

Where to set this: In your native build (Publish → Mobile app tab → iOS build config), set NSCameraUsageDescription to the text above. Also set NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription: "Klipnow accesses your photo library so you can select a profile picture or attach a photo/video to a social post — for example, choosing an existing photo from your library to use as your profile image."

GUIDELINE 3.1.1 — In-App Purchase (DIGITAL CONTENT)
Status: BLOCKED by platform — not fixable in app code today.
Apple requires native StoreKit in-app purchase for digital subscriptions and rentals (Standard/Premium/VIP subscriptions, VOD/PVOD film rentals). The current Stripe-based checkout does not satisfy this requirement in the iOS app and will be rejected.

Options:
A. Migrate to native IAP (StoreKit 2) — requires a native build layer the Base44 platform does not currently expose. Track the Base44 feedback board for the StoreKit/Google Play Billing integration.
B. Remove all digital purchase gating from the iOS app build (offer a Free-only experience on iOS, drive subscription sign-up via web only). This is the only path that passes 3.1.1 review on the current platform.
C. Use Apple's External Purchase Link entitlement (US storefront only) — still requires a native StoreKit external-link API call before each redirect, which needs a native build layer.

Until A or C is available, the iOS app CANNOT ship with Stripe-based digital subscriptions. Plan for a web-first launch and defer native store submission.

GUIDELINE 5.2.3 — Content Authorization (STREAMING RIGHTS)
Status: LEGAL/DOCUMENTATION matter — no app change resolves this.
Apple requires proof that Klipnow holds distribution rights (or authorization) for every film it streams.

To resolve:
1. Compile a rights matrix: for each film in the catalog, document the licensor, license type (theatrical/VOD/SVOD), territory, and license term/expiry.
2. In App Store Connect, attach this rights documentation in your reply to the reviewer (App Review → Reply) or via the App Review submission notes.
3. For public-domain titles, attach proof of public-domain status (e.g., registration records, legal determination).
4. For licensed titles, attach executed licensing agreements or distributor authorization letters.
5. Be ready to remove any title you cannot document rights for before resubmitting.

Camera purpose string (Guideline 5.1.1(ii)) is the only rejection item that can be fixed immediately — see the "Camera Purpose String" block above.

SUBSCRIPTION TERMS:
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
- Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- Users can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in their Apple/Google account settings
- No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during an active subscription period
- Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when purchasing a subscription
